Castle Point Cottage is vintage a lakefront summer cottage with modern updates. Built in 1920 and 4th generation owned, Castle Point is one of the most nostalgic and unique properties on the Chain
The cottage rents by the week (Sat. to Sat.) for $1,200 (plus 5.5% WI sales tax) May through October. Short term rentals, min. 2 nights, available May, September and October. There is a $250 refundable security/damage deposit. Upon booking, a $300 deposit applied to the rent holds your reservation.

This is a summer season cottage – no air conditioning and no central heat.
Castle Point (4th generation family owned) is a summer lake cabin style cottage from “yesteryear” with modern updates. It is one of the most nostalgic and unique properties on the Chain O’ Lakes, Waupaca WI. The cottage is very charming, spacious and comfortable. A wonderful rustic gem, built in 1920 by the late Sarah and Howard P. Castle of Barrington, Illinois. It has many nice features and items not offered by most lake rentals. Everyone loves the sleeping porch, great for an afternoon nap. The lake air and the “whispering” pine trees give for wonderful relaxation. The sleeping porch “seating area” has scenic views of the lake – the perfect spot for morning coffee or evening cocktails.
Additional features: big private yard (overlooking the lake) with fire pit, Weber grill, lawn chairs and picnic table. Large lakeside yard surrounded by woods. Boat dock with an attached sun/swim/fishing dock. Spacious knotty pine kitchen with nice appliances. The kitchen is fully equipped. Screened dining porch. Huge dressing room and bath combo with a new shower. Good queen / twin bed. We do offer several extra blankets and pillows. The two bedrooms are small. The screened sleeping porch is big and has 4 good twin beds, plus one small folding cot. The porch has a casual seating area, also overlooking the lake. Full cable service and TVs with DVDs. A selection of dvds, books, and board games are for your use. Telephone, radio, clocks, and fans are provided. All hardwood floors – no musty carpet.

The cottage is located on a scenic rural road – woodsey and quiet. Perfect area for walkers.
Beasley Lake is a no-wake lake and is very popular for swimming and fishing. The shoreline is all woods and has beautiful mature vegetation. There is no “beach” on Beasley Lake. Our boat dock is set amongst the lily pads. Long Lake, a ski lake, channels into Beasley. There are 22 spring-fed connecting lakes on the Chain. Besides water skiing, many enjoy spending the day on a pontoon boat going from lake to lake. The Upper Chain consists of five gorgeous-wilderness lakes and is perfect for canoeing and spotting wildlife. We are a stone’s throw from Beasley Creek that connects to the Upper Chain. Children love playing in the shallow creek.
Becker Marine, Ding’s Dock, Indian Crossing Casino and the Wheelhouse Restaurant are one mile. Walk to Tom Thumb Mini Golf located on Bass Lake. Whispering Pines Park and Hartman Creek State Park are just up the road. Close by are golf courses, antique and boutique shopping, lake cruises on the Chief Waupaca Stern Wheeler or on the Lady of the Lakes Vintage Motor Yacht, waterfront dining, casual restaurants and cafes. Downtown Waupaca offers lots to do and is very charming with lovely old buildings.
Accommodations are set comfortably for 6 persons @ $1200.00 per week, plus 5.5% WI sales tax. Maximum occupancy is 8 persons.
The property is for family vacation use only – no group renting of unrelated persons – no house parties – no large group gatherings and no other usage of any sort unrelated to private family vacation use.

WHAT TO BRING
We suggest sleeping bags for the porch.
Towels – bring all bathing and swim towels, including kitchen towels.
Other optional items – swim rafts, fishing poles, flashlights etc.
The cottage is freshly stocked each season with salt/pepper/other seasonings and coffee filters for all to share.
Paper Goods – everyone tends to share paper plates, napkins, etc. Leave your extra paperware goods, if you wish. Or replenish what you use, if needed. You will need to furnish additional Toilet Paper and Paper Towels.
Refrigerator – Everything must be removed upon departure. Please do not leave any food items or left over condiments. Each family wants to start with an empty and clean refrigerator.PLEASE do not leave any trash in the cottage, especially the kitchen – Thank You!
Cleaning supplies – the cottage has cleaning items – including brooms, vac, mop etc. We supply dish soap and trash bags.
