Discover Wisconsin Shines a Light on the Best of Waupaca: From the Chain to Main

Later, this episode highlights the Waupaca Area Triathlon, Arts on the Square, and one of the most popular music venues in the county. “Pumpkin Time at the Millers”

For over 20 years, Jim Miller has beautifully and artistically carved pumpkins to have on display at his home in the Township of Farmington.  Thousands of people visit each year to see the 200 plus pumpkins that are carved and illuminated.  The event, which has become a fundraiser for Waupaca County’s “Shop with a Cop” program and food drive for Waupaca’s Area Food Pantry has outgrown the rural setting.  The event was moved to the City of Waupaca square, and with great success!  Miller and his volunteers excelled with the display and also sharing their techniques with the public in hopes of new volunteers learning this skill.   RAD Productions USA produced the video/interview about Jim’s story…

The Mad Dog & Merrill® Midwest Grillin’ TV “Waupaca” Show will air for the second time the week of November 6-12.

The Waupaca Area Convention & Visitor Bureau contracted with Lashbro Visual Communications to produce a Mad Dog & Merrill® Midwest Grillin’ TV Show here in Waupaca. We recorded the show on Thursday, June 23, at the Crystal River Inn & Cottages. The show highlights many Waupaca area businesses and products.

Many food and beverage products were featured and were provided by Turner’s Fresh Market, Weyauwega Star Dairy, Neumann’s Piggly Wiggly, BZ Consortium, King Berry Farm, Delicious Potato Chips, H. H. Hinder Brewing Co., plants/flowers by Chain O’ Lakes Home & Garden Center and lodging by Crystal River Inn and Cottages.

The show initially aired the week of July 10 and has aired in 35 states, over 140 markets throughout the US, on The Rural Channel in Canada and will be repeated the week of November 6, for a second time.

This makes the show available to over 50 million households each time it airs. Not only will it have been seen throughout North America, but is now part of the extensive Mad Dog & Merrill library of episodes that will continue to air into the future.

In addition, 160 streaming and video on demand channels throughout the world also broadcasts the show, as well as part of the Mad Dog & Merrill library on their YouTube Channel and listed on their website https://www.maddogandmerrill.com/ and will be featured in an exclusive eBook available to Grillin’ Club members, and on social media links and newsletters in the future.
